Job Description

Network Specialist (MCSE) – Key Personnel

Introduction: 2-CM Technologies is seeking an experienced Network Specialist to support a proposed Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency (MLGCA) ITLM program. This position will serve as a dedicated network resource supporting LAN/WAN operations and connectivity among MLGCA, the contractor’s Primary Site, Back-Up Site, and associated ITLM infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated LAN/WAN network support.
  • Support and maintain the network architecture implemented for the ITLM Central System.
  • Coordinate network support with the Back-Up Site.
  • Support connectivity and interface requirements among MLGCA, the Primary Site, and Back-Up Site.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity, availability, and performance issues.
  • Support implementation, testing, operational transition, and ongoing network activities.
  • Coordinate with technical, systems, security, and program personnel to maintain required network availability and service levels.
  • Participate in network documentation, troubleshooting, escalation, and continuity activities as required.

Requirements:

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification; candidate must be able to document the credential.
  • Demonstrated expertise supporting enterprise LAN/WAN environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise network architecture and multi-site connectivity.
  • Experience supporting primary and backup/disaster-recovery environments.
  • Ability to serve as a full-time, dedicated resource if the contract is awarded.
  • Ability to meet MLGCA background screening and personnel-approval requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting high-availability or 24x7 production environments.
  • Experience with routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, network monitoring, and secure connectivity.
  • Experience supporting government, regulated, lottery/gaming, financial, or other mission-critical environments.
  • Current Microsoft, Cisco, or comparable networking certifications in addition to the required MCSE.
