The Role

  • Fabricate and install pipework systems across various materials including copper, cuni, carbon steel, and stainless steel.
  • Utilize hand and mechanical tools for cutting, bending, and welding pipes, as well as for installation.
  • Install essential utilities such as sinks, showers, and toilets aboard vessels.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, pipework diagrams, and technical specifications for accurate installation of fittings, valves, and components.
  • Collaborate with other trades to ensure timely and precise project completion.
  • Adhere strictly to safety regulations, company procedures, and SHE, COSHH, and risk assessment requirements.

What You'll Need

  • A completed Modern Apprenticeship or relevant Trade Papers (SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in pipe manufacturing and installation within major projects.
  • Solid understanding of pipefitting methods, safe working practices, and trade-standard techniques.
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Previous experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar trade within an industrial or commercial setting.
  • Understanding and application of SHE, COSHH, and risk assessment requirements.
