Job Description

Role: Sr. Staff Multimedia Designer
Location: San Diego, CA – 100% Onsite
Duration: 12 months

Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Staff-level Multimedia Designer who combines strong creative skills with technical expertise in video production, 2D/3D animation, virtual production, live production, real-time media, and AI-assisted content creation. The role is primarily focused on post-production, while also supporting studio production, live events, virtual production, 3D content development, and AI-enabled workflows.
Key Responsibilities

  • Create and edit technical training videos.
  • Develop 2D/3D animations for training and presentation content.
  • Create and optimize 3D models, environments, and assets using Blender.
  • Support virtual production using Unreal Engine and/or Aximmetry.
  • Support live productions using vMix and NDI, including switching, routing, streaming, recording, and multi-camera acquisition.
  • Use AI tools for content creation, asset generation, editing, automation, research, and post-production.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies into multimedia workflows.
  • Collaborate with designers, editors, producers, engineers, and clients.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in real-time production environments.


Must-Have Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in multimedia design, media production, live production, virtual production, or related areas.
  • Strong proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Hands-on Blender experience for 3D modeling, asset development, texturing, animation, and rendering.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine and/or Aximmetry.
  • Experience with vMix and NDI-based live production workflows.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals and IP-based video transport.
  • Experience using AI tools for creative/content workflows.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills in real-time production environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.


Preferred / Plus

  • Fundamental computer science/coding knowledge.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in multimedia design, graphic design, animation, film, media production, computer graphics, computer science, or related field.
  • Portfolio demonstrating relevant work in video editing, animation, 3D, virtual production, live production, real-time media, or AI-assisted creative workflows.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM PST; on-call/as-needed, part-time hours with some nights/weekends
