Role Summary:
Lead the design, modernization, and remediation of enterprise .NET applications. Define and govern architectural standards, guide development teams, and drive the migration of legacy platforms to modern .NET solutions—supporting critical initiatives including Florida PALM. Provide hands-on technical leadership, improve performance and reliability, and mentor OOC technical staff.

What You’ll Do:
• Define and document end-to-end application and integration architectures on Microsoft .NET.
• Establish and champion solution patterns (monolith, modular monolith, microservices, event-driven).
• Set architecture standards, reference architectures, and design guidelines.
• Provide day-to-day technical leadership, code/design reviews, and guidance to development teams.
• Enforce SOLID principles, Clean Architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Support and optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies in Azure DevOps.
• Assess legacy applications; recommend and execute modernization strategies.
• Lead migration efforts from JCL/COBOL/FOCUS to .NET.
• Identify, prioritize, and remediate technical debt.
• Produce architecture diagrams, ADRs, and clear technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root-cause analysis, and improve performance and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and developers.
• Support remediation of applications impacted by Florida PALM.
• Mentor and transfer knowledge to OOC technical staff.

Required Qualifications:
• 7+ years of overall IT experience, including 2–3 years in application/solution architecture.
• Advanced expertise in .NET architecture and application design.
• Proficiency in C# and ASP.NET Core for RESTful Web APIs.
• Experience with .NET Framework and .NET 6+.
• Strong knowledge of Entity Framework/ORM and SQL Server/relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and Azure DevOps (CI/CD).
• Front-end experience with a modern framework (Angular, React, or Vue).
• Proven background in application integration and API design.
• Strong documentation skills and demonstrable technical leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Clean Architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Microservices and event-driven architecture patterns.
• SonarQube for code quality and governance.
• Experience modernizing AngularJS/Kendo UI applications.
• Azure App Insights, Key Vault, and Blob Storage.
• Legacy system modernization experience.
• Performance tuning, scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance.
• Logging, monitoring, and observability practices.
• Exposure to JCL/COBOL/FOCUS.
• Financial systems/ERP experience.
• SCRUM/Agile delivery experience.
