Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mainframe QA Engineer to support a large-scale mainframe modernization and vendor migration initiative. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and reliability of legacy and modernized applications by designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies across complex mainframe environments

The ideal candidate possesses deep experience testing mainframe applications, validating large-scale data migrations, and collaborating with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for mainframe applications.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and data validation testing.
• Validate data integrity across mainframe systems and downstream applications.
• Test batch processing, file transfers, interfaces, and scheduled jobs.
• Analyze requirements and translate business specifications into effective test scenarios.
• Collaborate closely with Mainframe Engineers, Systems Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects through resolution.
• Support modernization and migration initiatives involving legacy mainframe systems.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
