Senior Databricks Platform Engineer

Pay Range: $60 - $62/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and enhance platform capabilities within Databricks and related technologies.
• Build reusable data products and self-service capabilities.
• Design and maintain data pipelines and integration frameworks.
• Improve data quality, reliability, lineage, and monitoring.
• Accelerate research-to-production delivery by prototyping solutions alongside researchers and establishing efficient production patterns.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Experience in the financial domain, especially in quantitative research.
• Skills in API development.
• Familiarity with PowerBI.
• 8+ years of platform and data solutions experience.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks (workspace, notebooks, jobs) and building platform capabilities.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with Modern CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform strongly preferred).
• Knowledge of Data Governance and observability (Unity Catalog, lineage, monitoring).
• Experience with Orchestration tools (Airflow).
• AI fluency, particularly in using AI agents (Claude Code preferred) for designing, building, testing, and supporting solutions.
