Functional Test Lead – Healthcare Payer / Facets

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Functional Test Lead with strong expertise in Healthcare Payer systems, particularly the Facets healthcare platform, to lead functional testing assessments, discovery workshops, and testing transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Quality Engineering, healthcare payer business processes, testing program leadership, and managed services transitions.

This role will assess existing testing capabilities, evaluate the current testing operating model, identify gaps and improvement opportunities, and define a future-state functional testing organization. The candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, application teams, architecture, automation, performance testing, and Test Data Management (TDM) teams to develop transition roadmaps, governance frameworks, and recommendations that improve testing quality, efficiency, and operational readiness.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Functional Testing, Software Testing, or Quality Engineering.

• 5+ years of experience leading testing programs, testing teams, or managed services engagements.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Facets healthcare administration system.

• Strong understanding of Healthcare Payer business processes and application ecosystems.

• Proven experience in functional discovery, due diligence, testing assessments, and testing operating model evaluations.

• Experience assessing testing processes, test coverage, requirements traceability, defect management, and UAT practices.

• Demonstrated expertise in testing transition planning, knowledge transfer, operational readiness, and ownership transfer.

• Experience with workforce planning, organizational design, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Familiarity with testing and project management tools such as Jira, qTest, and Azure DevOps.

• Strong communication, analytical, presentation, and client-facing consulting skills.

• Ability to develop structured assessment reports, transformation recommendations, roadmaps, KPIs, and governance models.
