Job Title: Senior Software Development Engineer (iOS)

Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid) – Local Candidates only

Duration: 12 Months

As a Senior Software Development Engineer (iOS), you will design, develop, and deliver scalable native iOS applications that power experiences used by millions of Comcast customers. You will partner with Product, Design, QA, Architecture, and Platform teams to create exceptional mobile experiences while driving technical excellence across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality native iOS applications using Swift and modern iOS frameworks.
• Lead technical solution design and implementation for customer-facing iOS experiences.
• Build experiences supporting:
  • Device Upgrade & Trade-In
  • Mobile Plan Management
  • Line and Device Management
  • Billing & Payments
  • Mobile Onboarding & Activation
  • International Services
  • Push Notifications & Customer Engagement
  • Customer Education & Value Reinforcement Experiences
• Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Participate in architecture reviews, design reviews, and code reviews.
• Drive engineering best practices, quality initiatives, and technical excellence.
• Mentor and guide engineers across the team.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, and Platform teams to deliver customer-centric solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional iOS development experience.
• Expert proficiency in Swift.
• Strong understanding of UIKit and SwiftUI.
• Experience with modern iOS application architecture patterns including MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Dependency Injection.
• Strong understanding of iOS SDK, application lifecycle management, and Apple Human Interface Guidelines.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and handling complex client-server interactions.
• Experience with asynchronous programming using Swift Concurrency and/or Combine.
• Hands-on experience with Spec-Driven Development (SDD), collaborating across Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
• Experience with Git-based source control workflows.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SwiftUI in production applications.
• Experience building modular architectures and reusable frameworks.
• Experience implementing automated testing strategies including XCTest, unit testing, integration testing, and UI testing.
• Experience with feature flag frameworks and staged rollouts.
• Familiarity with mobile analytics, observability, and experimentation platforms.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
• Knowledge of GraphQL and experience consuming GraphQL APIs for customer-facing mobile experiences is a plus.
