Project Manager – Website Modernization (State Government)

Govan Systems is looking for a Web Application / Website Modernization Project Manager to lead a state agency's website and web application modernization in Jackson, MS. The role is remote, with 10–12 onsite days per month in Jackson, MS.

Contract, about 12 months, likely to be extended. Pay: $80–$92/hr, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and run the website/web app modernization end to end, including UI redesign
• Manage the implementation vendor, timelines and deliverables
• Drive ADA Title II / WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance
• Set up web governance and change management

Required:

• Experience managing web applications or websites with government or public-sector clients
• UI or website modernization or redesign experience
• Vendor management
• Bachelor's degree

Preferred:

• Drupal or other CMS
• WCAG/ADA accessibility
• Medicaid or state digital modernization
• Smartsheet
• PM certification
