Job Description

Databricks Resident Solutions Architect

Salary Range (Fee Included): $180,000 – $200,000 (Final rate determined by experience and project budget)
Location: Remote (Target Arlington, VA if it is a POLY position)
Onsite & Travel: Travel may be required for key meetings. POLY positions require 3–5 days onsite.
Clearance Requirements (Listed in priority order):
- DHS EOD
- Public Trust (PUBTRUST)
- Top Secret
- Secret
- Full Scope Poly
- CI Poly
Position Success Criteria & Specifics:
- 10+ years of consulting experience
- 7+ years of Data Engineering experience
- 6–8 years of hands-on Databricks project experience
- Cloud Experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Performance Optimization Expert
- Databricks Data Engineering Professional Certification (Preferred, not required)
- Federal experience (Preferred, not required)
- Core Technical Pillars: Must go beyond basic platform engineering. Requires deep alignment with: Data modeling, Spark internals, Delta Lake internals, Medallion Architecture, Unity Catalog, and Performance tuning.
- Evaluation: Will include a very basic live coding session.
- Target Prior Job Titles: Data Engineer, Data Architect, Solution Architect, Software Engineer (Data).
