Job Description

job summary:

A leading client in the travel and hospitality sector is seeking an autonomous, executive-level Senior Product Manager, MarTech & Data Strategy to untangle enterprise complexity, lead data governance, and architect a unified multi-year Data & MarTech roadmap. Operating at the intersection of marketing strategy, data architecture, and organizational governance, you will drive structure where it doesn't yet fully exist-mapping enterprise marketing technology capabilities directly to high-visibility strategic initiatives like loyalty, CRM, personalization, and customer data integration.

This role requires an independent, execution-first leader who thrives in complex, matrixed corporate environments, can independently facilitate cross-functional governance forums (e.g., Data Councils), and effortlessly translates technical strategy into business value for senior executive leadership.

location: Washington, Washington, D.C.
job type: Contract
salary: $70 - 80 per hour
work hours: 9am to 5pm
education: Bachelors
responsibilities:

Strategic Roadmap Development: Independently own, construct, and drive the multi-year (e.g., FY27+) MarTech and Data Product roadmap, ensuring tight alignment between commercial strategy, technical architecture, and business outcomes.

Governance & Operating Model Leadership: Lead and facilitate governance forums, including the enterprise Data Council. Establish operating models, cross-functional decision-making frameworks, and structured alignment across stakeholders.

Data Product Definition & Scale: Define, prioritize, and scale enterprise data products, including Customer 360 / unified customer profiles, advanced segmentation frameworks, attribution models, and real-time decisioning engines.

Proactive Stakeholder Leadership: Serve as a proactive strategic partner across Commercial, Digital, Analytics, and Engineering teams-independently driving work forward between governance meetings without requiring heavy oversight or direction.

Dependency & Capability Mapping: Document complex system dependencies, cross-functional data flows, and platform integration points across the existing tech stack to optimize prioritization and execution.

Agile Execution: Translate high-level strategic business capabilities into structured epics and features for engineering and analytics teams to accelerate delivery.

Privacy & Compliance: Ensure all current and future data initiatives strictly comply with GDPR, CCPA, and evolving global data privacy standards.

qualifications:

Experience: 8-10+ years of dedicated product management and data strategy experience, with a proven track record of owning Enterprise MarTech platforms and core data environments in large-scale organizations.

Governance & Operating Models: Demonstrated experience facilitating executive-level Data Councils/Governance Committees and designing cross-functional operating models in complex, matrixed environments.

Autonomy & Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to operate with high autonomy, driving strategy, roadmapping, and execution forward independently with minimal oversight or direction.

Industry Background: Prior experience in travel, hospitality, transportation, or similar fast-paced, customer-centric enterprise industries strongly preferred.

Technical & Data Architecture: Deep knowledge of enterprise data ecosystems (CDPs, Data Warehouses, Identity Resolution, APIs) alongside practical experience with data analytics, SQL, and experimentation/testing frameworks.

Executive Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills-able to synthesize complex technical dependencies into clear strategic roadmaps for executive leadership.
