Data Center Field Operations Technician

• Role: Data Center Field Operations Technician
• Location: New Albany, Ohio – 100% Onsite
• Open Positions: Approximately 200
• Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract
• Experience: 3+ Years
• Work Schedule: 24×7 operations with rotating shifts (Day/Swing/Night)
• Relocation: Initial assignment in Ohio for 3–4 months, followed by relocation to Louisiana. Candidates must be open to relocation.

Preferred candidates with certifications --- OSHA

Required Skills:

• Fiber cabling, single mode/multimode fiber, OTDR, VFL, optical loss testing, fiber connector inspection and cleaning, rack & stack, Layer 1 troubleshooting, break/fix, ESD and PPE safety (optional)

Key Technical Requirements:

• Hands-on experience in Data Center Operations, structured cabling, and network hardware support.
• Fiber optic splicing, termination, testing, and troubleshooting – Mandatory.
• Experience with Cat6A, OM4, OS2, MPO/MTP fiber cabling.
• Proficiency with OTDR, optical power meters, VFL, and fiber testing tools.
• Rack & Stack, server/network hardware installation, cable management, and labeling.
• Physical Layer (Layer 1) troubleshooting, network circuit testing, and break/fix support.
• Experience with switches, routers, optics, transceivers, and hardware replacement.
• Experience in hyperscale data centers or large-scale rack deployments preferred.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems, asset management, and data center safety procedures.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and on-call schedules.

Priority: Candidates with strong hands-on fiber optic and data center infrastructure experience who can join immediately or at short notice.
