HUMAN RESOURCE DIRECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION
The Human Resource Director will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the HR department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy. This position will provide HR insight to every market, in regards to recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new staff.

The HR Director will oversee compensation, benefits, discipline, performance, talent management, morale, and occupational health and safety in line with laws and the company’s policy.

Meets with senior leadership to develop and implement the company’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, retention, and other HR matters.
# Oversees human resource programs including compensation, benefits, discipline, performance, talent management, morale, and occupational health and safety.
# Ensures the company is compliant with federal, state, and local laws and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
# Gathers and calculates data and prepares a variety of monthly, quarterly and annual reports for senior leadership; Provides effective employee service and relations; Facilitates professional development and continuing education for HR staff.
# tabulates and posts data in employee files and record books; Travels to other branches maintaining a positive attitude, improving morale, and answering any HR related questions.
# Manages human resource operations and accomplishes special projects by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities.
# Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policy; educates others on the value of diversity; Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures and all applicable state and federal banking laws, rules and regulations.
# The position of Human Resource Director performs duties specific to the position and other functions as assigned.

The position of Human Resource Director is responsible for the supervision of the HR team. ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which he or she is free to move about at will. The position includes driving a Bank or personally owned vehicle as needed which includes exposure to the outside weather elements and moving mechanical parts. It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc.

The incumbent in the course of performing this position spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 25 pounds), driving, carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, pushing, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling and reaching.

The incumbent for this position may operate any or all of the following: telephone, smart phone, copy and fax machines, adding machine (calculator), check protector, scanner and image systems, scanning equipment, encoder, money counter, credit and debit card terminal, typewriter, computer terminal, laptop computer, personal computer, tablet, printers, or other equipment as directed. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

The incumbent in this position must be able to accommodate to reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, customer contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, training, multiple concurrent tasks, and constant interruptions. These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. Bachelor’s Degree (BA) or equivalent from a Four-Year college; and five years of HR experience and/or training.

Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
~ In-depth knowledge of human resource and labor laws and policies.
~ Effective social skills to deal with employees on matters of a confidential or sensitive nature.
~ Knowledge of general office practices.
~ At least five years of human resource management experience.
~ Proficient with or ability to quickly learn ADP HRIS.
~ Basic skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; host computer system; word processing and spreadsheet software.
~ Basic typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
~ calculate interest and balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to apply common sense, to carry out instructions, train personnel, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports, correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
~ Good organization and time management skills.
~ Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
