Job Description

Job Title: Technical Lead / Architect

Location: Baltimore, MD 21201

Job Type: Contract

Work Model: Onsite

Experience: 10+ years

Job Overview

 

Key Responsibilities

 
  • Define and execute the overall technical architecture and engineering strategy for the platform
  • Translate business objectives and product roadmaps into scalable, secure technical solutions
  • Design and oversee an end-to-end DevSecOps and CI/CD delivery pipeline
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and resolve complex technical issues
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Product Owners, UX teams, and business stakeholders
  • Communicate technical decisions, risks, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Champion engineering best practices, automation, quality, and continuous improvement

Required Skills

 
  • Java, .NET, Node.js, React, Angular, GraphQL, secure coding practices
  • Salesforce and CRM platforms
  • DB2, SQL, and relational database technologies
  • Cloudflare services, edge computing, and CDN technologies
  • HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
  • RESTful APIs, web services, and systems integration
  • Cloud-native architecture and distributed application design
  • DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and application security
  • Legacy system modernization (including Perl)
  • Agile delivery — minimum 2 successful agile projects with measurable outcomes

Preferred Skills

 
  • Experience with state or public sector IT modernization programs
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience mentoring multidisciplinary teams including UX, QA, and DevSecOps engineers

Location & Work Model

 

Onsite — Baltimore, MD 21201. Candidates must be available to work onsite full-time.
