Job Description

Netzschutztechniker / Inbetriebnahmetechniker Umspannwerke m/w/d | Mönchengladbach, Germany | Hybrid We're hiring on behalf of a leading European energy infrastructure company that is actively shaping the energy transition. The Role • Execute new build and modernization projects for substations across medium, high, and extra-high voltage levels up to 380kV. • Perform commissioning tests for electrical equipment in substations, ensuring the smooth flow of green energy. • Analyze and resolve faults in protection and control systems, collaborating with internal expert teams. • Program and parameterize high-tech protection and field control devices from leading manufacturers. • Commission digital protection and control technology using state-of-the-art testing equipment. • Contribute to the energy transition by supporting projects in energy transmission, distribution, and grid connections for renewable energy sources. What You'll Need • Completed vocational training in electrical engineering. • Proven knowledge and affinity for protection and/or control technology. • Experience with the commissioning of switchgear, ideally adhering to common communication standards (IEC 60870-5-101/103/104). • Familiarity with Siemens DIGSI 4/5, Schneider MICOM S1 parameterization software, and OMICRON Test Universe is advantageous. • Strong team player with excellent communication and decision-making skills, fluent in German. • Possession of a Class B driver's license and willingness to travel within Western Germany, typically Monday to Thursday.
