Job Description

Job Title: Epic Training Manager (Remote)

Location: Raleigh, NC
Duration: 12+ Months with possible extension

 
Job Description:

Leads the enterprise Epic training program across client, overseeing training strategy, curriculum, staff, readiness, and effectiveness for Epic implementations, upgrades, workflow changes, and ongoing optimization.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Epic training team, including trainers, curriculum development, and training operations.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise Epic training strategies, curricula, materials, and training standards.
  • Coordinate training activities for Epic upgrades, implementations, workflow changes, and new functionality.
  • Partner with Epic application managers, analysts, clinical/business leaders, and governance groups to assess training needs and readiness.
  • Establish training plans, schedules, communications, and readiness milestones for system changes.
  • Monitor training completion, effectiveness, competency, and user feedback; develop corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure training content aligns with approved Epic workflows, organizational policies, and operational requirements.
  • Support go-live and post-go-live training activities, including at-the-elbow support when appropriate.
  • Standardize training processes across client facilities while accommodating differences in behavioral health, long-term care, developmental disability, and other clinical environments.
  • Provide regular status reporting, performance metrics, risks, and recommendations to Epic leadership.

 

Skills:

·         Epic EHR training program management-Required-5-Years

·         Epic implementation, upgrade, or optimization experience-Required-5-Years

·         Leadership and management of Epic training teams-Required-3-Years

·         Development and management of Epic training curriculum and materials-Required-3-Years

·         Epic training methodologies and adult learning principles-Required-3-Years

·         Project management and implementation experience-Required-3-Years

·         Epic certification/credentialing-Highly desired- - 

·         Experience supporting behavioral health, long-term care, or complex healthcare environments-Highly desired-2-Years

·         Experience managing training for multi-site or enterprise Epic environments-Highly desired-2-Years
