Electromechanical Technician
Location: Somerset, New Jersey (Onsite)
Rate: $28/hr
Duration: 4+ month contract
Role Overview
We are seeking an Electromechanical Technician to support the maintenance and troubleshooting of Material Handling Equipment (MHE). This role involves performing preventative maintenance, managing work orders, and ensuring a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems and will work to maintain operational efficiency across the facility.
Key Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures.
• Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
• Develop training plans for equipment operation and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE), which includes belts, motors, photo-eyes, and relays.
• Maintain a positive working relationship across the Operations facility.
• Track and store department inventory.
• Move up to 49lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Required Qualifications
Education: 2-year Degree or equivalent training.
Experience: 3-5 years of Electro-mechanical experience.
Technical Skills: Ability to use hand tools and possess strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with automated systems and controls.
• 3+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment.
• 3+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
• 3+ years of experience with blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
• 3+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
• Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards.
• Project Management experience.
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
