Product Owner / Product Manager

Hiring: Product Owner / Product Manager Insurance Domain
Location: Summit, NJ Hybrid (2 3 days onsite/week)
Experience: 7+ years

Key Responsibilities
Define product vision, strategy, roadmap, and measurable outcomes
Translate complex insurance workflows into clear product requirements
Lead discovery workshops with business, technology, UX, QA, data, and architecture teams
Create epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and business rules
Own and prioritize the Agile product backlog
Partner closely with engineering teams on solution options, scope, and sequencing
Facilitate Agile ceremonies, product demos, UAT, and release readiness
Manage stakeholder expectations, dependencies, risks, and product decisions
Use data and customer feedback to drive continuous product improvements
Leverage AI-powered tools to improve product discovery, requirements, backlog management, and decision-making
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Product Lead, or similar role
Strong insurance industry experience
Knowledge of policies, endorsements, renewals, claims, underwriting, premiums, exposures, billing, AR/AP, and financial transactions
Strong experience with Agile/Scrum product delivery and backlog management
Ability to develop user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and functional requirements
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Understanding of APIs, data mapping, transformation rules, integrations, error handling, and exception management
Experience with Jira/Azure DevOps, MS Office, Visio, or comparable platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
Insurance brokerage or commercial insurance experience
Experience with policy administration, CRM, billing, finance, document management, or client servicing platforms
Salesforce / Sagitta experience
SQL or comparable data-querying experience
Technical background or exposure to software development, web technologies, data platforms, or integrations
Relevant Product, Agile, Scrum, Business Analysis, Insurance, or Project Management certification
