Product Owner

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to own the product backlog and delivery roadmap for an integrated scheduling platform supporting senior-focused primary care operations. The Product Owner will act as the bridge between clinical operations, care center leadership, and technical delivery teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in healthcare product management, scheduling workflows, EHR integrations, and Agile delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the product backlog, roadmap, priorities, and release planning.
• Translate clinical and operational requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint-ready requirements.
• Partner with clinical operations, care center leaders, providers, and technical teams to understand scheduling and care coordination needs.
• Define and prioritize capabilities related to provider scheduling, patient appointments, provider capacity, referrals, and care coordination.
• Work closely with EHR systems and enterprise scheduling/referral platforms to manage integrations and upstream/downstream dependencies.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, QA, and UX teams throughout product delivery.
• Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, and other Agile ceremonies as needed.
• Ensure delivered features align with clinical workflows, business objectives, and patient-care needs.
• Identify dependencies, risks, and gaps that could impact delivery.
• Gather feedback from end users and stakeholders and continuously improve the product.
• Track product outcomes, adoption, operational performance, and stakeholder feedback.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager / Business Analyst in healthcare technology.
• Strong understanding of healthcare scheduling and clinical workflows.
• Experience working with EHR systems, scheduling systems, referral management, or healthcare interoperability.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum product delivery and backlog management.
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, requirements, and process flows.
• Ability to work effectively with both clinical/business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Strong understanding of system integrations, APIs, data flows, and application dependencies.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with primary care, senior-focused healthcare, ambulatory care, or care coordination.
• Experience with major EHR platforms such as Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, or similar systems.
• Experience with healthcare scheduling, referrals, provider capacity management, or appointment optimization.
• Familiarity with FHIR, HL7, APIs, and healthcare interoperability.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile tools.
• Experience working in a regulated healthcare environment.
