Senior Linux System Administrator | Laurel, MD | Hybrid This employer is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Senior Linux System Administrator to join a dedicated team supporting critical national defense missions. The role involves managing enterprise infrastructure capabilities that form the foundation of IT operations for a significant organization. The Role • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Linux operating systems, including installation, network component configuration, and performance enhancements. • Provide comprehensive support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure. • Oversee day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for diverse IT systems, including servers, storage, and network devices. • Optimize system operations, resource utilization, and perform capacity analysis and planning. • Analyze and resolve complex issues related to server hardware, applications, and software integration. • Directly support Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) for a wide range of national defense missions. What You'll Need • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline. • 20+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer/Administrator in programs of similar scope and complexity. • Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts. • Proficiency in troubleshooting in a Linux Red Hat environment. • Extensive experience with VMWare. • Demonstrated experience with modern automation/configuration tools such as Splunk or Ansible. • IAT I certification required within 60 days of employment. • Must possess a current/active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
