What you will do: 

The Workday Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance, optimization, and ongoing support of the Workday platform at Pediatrics Plus. They serve as the primary technical administrator and subject matter expert for Workday and partner closely with Human Resources, Finance, Operations, and other business leaders to ensure Workday effectively supports the needs of the company. The Workday Administrator manages system configuration, business processes, security, reporting, data integrity, testing, upgrades, and user support. They also identify opportunities to improve and automate business processes, support integrations with other systems, and help ensure Pediatrics Plus continues to maximize its investment in Workday.

Workday Administration

  1. Serves as the primary administrator and technical subject matter expert for Workday.
  2. Configures and maintains Workday business processes, workflows, notifications, security roles, permissions, and system settings.
  3. Supports Workday modules including Human Capital Management (HCM), Talent, Learning, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, and other modules as assigned.
  4. Partners closely with Human Resources, Finance, Operations, and other departments to understand business requirements and translate those needs into effective Workday solutions.
  5. Troubleshoots Workday issues and coordinates with Workday support, consultants, vendors, and internal resources as needed to resolve problems.
  6. Coordinates Workday releases, including reviewing new functionality, evaluating company impact, testing changes, and implementing approved enhancements.
  7. Monitors system performance and recommends enhancements that improve efficiency, reliability, and the user experience.

Reporting, Data, and Integrations

  1. Develops and maintains Workday reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and analytics.
  2. Supports business leaders with reporting and data analysis needs.
  3. Maintains data integrity through regular audits, validation processes, and corrective actions.
  4. Supports data imports, exports, integrations, and interfaces between Workday and other business applications.
  5. Assists with compliance reporting, internal audits, and external audits involving Workday data.
  6. Ensures accuracy and consistency of data across Workday and integrated systems.

System Enhancements and Continuous Improvement

  1. Evaluates existing business processes and identifies opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve workflows through Workday.
  2. Leads or participates in Workday enhancement and optimization projects from requirements gathering through implementation.
  3. Develops test plans and coordinates system testing and user acceptance testing for system changes.
  4. Assists with implementations of new Workday functionality, modules, integrations, and related technology solutions.
  5. Researches Workday capabilities, best practices, and emerging functionality and recommends appropriate improvements.
  6. Maintains system documentation, configuration documentation, procedures, testing records, and knowledge resources.

User Support and Partnership

  1. Serves as a key point of contact for Workday questions, issues, and enhancement requests.
  2. Provides technical support and guidance to Workday users.
  3. Develops user documentation, job aids, and training materials as needed.
  4. Communicates technical concepts and system changes clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  5. Builds strong working relationships with Human Resources, Finance, Operations, IT, and other departments throughout Pediatrics Plus.

Security and Compliance

  1. Manages Workday security roles and access in accordance with company policies and established security practices.
  2. Protects the confidentiality and security of team member, patient-related, financial, and company information.
  3. Follows established change management, documentation, testing, and security protocols.
  4. Supports internal and external audits related to Workday, business systems, security, and data management.
  5. Ensures assigned systems and processes comply with applicable laws, regulations, and Pediatrics Plus policies.

General

  1. Participates in one-on-one meetings with leader.
  2. May perform other related and non-related duties, as assigned.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of SQL, scripting, relational database concepts, or integration technologies.

  • Strong initiative; ability to anticipate issues proactively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Reports for work dressed appropriately and complies with company policies regarding the dress code.
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Travel may be required.

Education/Certification/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, preferred. Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 2+ years’ experience of hands-on Workday administration experience, required.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring and supporting Workday business processes, security, reporting, and system functionality, required.
  • Experience with Workday HCM and related modules, preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise reporting, data analysis, system integrations, and business process improvement, preferred.
  • Healthcare industry experience, preferred.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to accurately communicate information and ideas so others will understand through sight and hearing. The team member is regularly required to move including walking, running, jumping, and sitting. The team member is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, lift, reach, and feel. The team member is frequently required to stand and stoop, twist, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. If the team member is working at a Farm location, they must be comfortable around standard farm animals, including minimal allergies to touching, smelling, feeding, and engaging with animals.
