Job Description

As a Parent Relationship Leader at Legendary Dogs, you will be instrumental in creating exceptional customer experiences,

driving sales, and maintaining operational efficiency at our store locations. Your primary focus will be on executing

engaging meet and greets with pet parents, delivering personalized service, and maximizing close rates through effective

upselling techniques. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a deep passion for customer satisfaction, and a

proactive approach to achieving sales targets and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities & Core Competencies

1. Engaging Meet & Greets

  • Conduct warm, personalized meet and greets with pet parents, creating a welcoming and positive experience.
  • Engage with pet parents to understand their needs, preferences, and expectations for their dog's care.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and knowledge of available services and products while helping pet parents identify the best options for their dog.

2. Sales & Revenue Optimization

  • Utilize effective sales techniques, including cross-selling services, packages, and promotional offers, to support revenue goals.
  • Provide personalized recommendations based on customer needs and clearly communicate the features and benefits of available services.
  • Monitor sales performance and close rates, identifying opportunities to improve results and meet or exceed sales goals.

3. Customer Experience

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to questions, addressing concerns, and creating a positive experience throughout every interaction.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of services, products, and pet care offerings to provide accurate information and recommendations.
  • Build lasting relationships with pet parents through personalized service, follow-up communication, and ongoing support.

4. Operational Excellence

  • Support front desk operations, including processing transactions, managing appointments and reservations, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with operational tasks such as inventory management, restocking, organization, and maintaining a clean facility.
  • Follow all safety, health, and sanitation standards to maintain a safe environment for team members, pet parents, and dogs.

5. Team Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with team members and leadership to achieve sales, operational, and customer service goals.
  • Communicate proactively, share customer feedback, and contribute ideas that improve the overall customer experience.
  • Participate in training, team meetings, and development opportunities to strengthen skills, product knowledge, and sales performance.

Qualifications

  • Must love dogs!
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in sales, customer service, or retail is a plus.
  • Previous customer service, sales, retail, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Knowledge of sales techniques, retail operations, or pet care products and services is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements & Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to remain standing for extended periods, up to 100% of the workday.
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to learn and use required systems and technology.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
