Position Summary

4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Computer Systems Architect to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for:

Translate business and technical requirements into conceptual and logical architecture designs, defining API integration approaches, solution components, interfaces, and system interactions across enterprise applications and services.

Design and evaluate integration solutions that align with enterprise architecture standards, technology roadmaps, security requirements, and established design guidelines while identifying risks and opportunities for architectural improvement.

Lead solution design discussions, guide development teams and release trains, review high-level and detailed design documentation, and ensure architectural decisions are consistently implemented throughout the software development lifecycle.

Develop architecture artifacts, system documentation, technical standards, risk assessments, and technology roadmaps; collaborate with architecture and security review boards to support design approvals and successful solution delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

The position requires:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

10+ years of experience in solution architecture, API design, enterprise integration, and technology solution development, including architectural governance, technical design reviews, and guidance for cross-functional development teams.

Technical Skills:

API Design, API Integration, MuleSoft, Java, REST APIs, Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Integration Patterns, Application Integration, API Security

Business / Domain Skills:

Experience designing enterprise integration solutions that connect business applications, systems, services, and technology platforms across complex organizational environments.

Experience translating business objectives and operational requirements into scalable integration architectures, interface specifications, solution blueprints, and implementation roadmaps.

Experience designing, developing, enhancing, and integrating enterprise applications, APIs, interfaces, workflows, batch processes, and data-processing components supporting government programs.

Experience supporting enterprise architecture governance, security reviews, technology planning, release coordination, and collaboration among business stakeholders, architects, developers, and infrastructure teams.

Communication:

Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.

Documentation:

Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship may be considered where permitted by company policy and project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Advanced knowledge of API design principles, enterprise integration patterns, and architectural documentation, with experience using MuleSoft and/or Java for integration solutions.

Strong architectural leadership, analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to guide technical teams and evaluate emerging technologies.
