Job Title: Telco BSS Architect – Billing SME

Location : Remote

Long Term Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Billing SME / BSS Architect with strong expertise in Amdocs STMS billing, billing data migration, and end-to-end telecom billing architecture. The ideal candidate will lead billing solution design, system integration, modernization, and large-scale BSS transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expertise in Amdocs STMS billing data models, workflows, processes, and capabilities.
Lead billing data migration between Amdocs STMS platforms or from other billing systems to STMS.
Design and review solutions covering rating, charging, invoicing, payments, taxation, adjustments, reconciliation, and revenue assurance.
Lead billing modernization, platform upgrades, system consolidation, migration planning, cutover, and rollback strategies.
Define target-state architecture, integration strategies, technical roadmaps, and solution designs.
Govern architecture reviews, assess technical risks, and ensure compliance with security, performance, scalability, and enterprise standards.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to resolve complex billing and integration challenges.

Required Skills

10+ years of overall IT experience with substantial telecom BSS and billing platform experience.
In-depth knowledge of Amdocs STMS billing, including data models, workflows, and integrations.
Extensive billing data migration experience.
Experience as a Telecom BSS Architect, Billing Solution Architect, or equivalent senior SME.
Strong understanding of end-to-end telecom billing processes and integrations across CRM, product catalog, order management, mediation, provisioning, payments, and financial systems.
Experience with architecture governance, solution design, system integration, and BSS transformation.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of TM Forum frameworks, including eTOM, SID, and Open APIs.
Exposure to TM Forum ODA, cloud-native architectures, microservices, and event-driven integration.
Familiarity with SQL, Unix/Linux, APIs, messaging platforms, and performance troubleshooting.
Experience with large telecom operators, high-volume billing environments, and complex transformations.
