Seeking a qualified individual to support commercial and industrial energy efficiency programs in New Jersey. The Project Coordinator will manage projects and/or customers from project inception through rebate/incentive payment, ensuring compliance with program requirements and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Administration

Oversee project application submittals for potential incentive/rebate funding. Projects focus on energy efficiency and may include:

ASHRAE II/III energy audits

HVAC/building tune-ups

Retro-commissioning

Energy savings calculations

Bid, MEP design, construction administration, commissioning, and Measurement & Verification (M&V)

Manage multiple commercial and industrial energy efficiency projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Utilize designated databases to progress project applications through required milestones; ensure accurate entry of savings, incentives, and project information.

Perform administrative project reviews to confirm applicant/project eligibility, documentation completeness, and compliance with program requirements.

Keep Program Manager and/or Client aware of project schedules, progress, and budget updates as requested.

Coordination & Communication

Coordinate site visits with inspection staff.

Coordinate with engineering staff to complete technical reviews and prepare projects for approval and rebate/incentive payment.

Communicate with customers and/or trade allies to track and resolve project deficiencies.

Conduct and/or attend occasional on-site meetings and presentations.

Take point on lead hand-offs from outreach and convert leads to projects.

Provide technical support for the outreach team on technical and program-related questions.

Support the Trade Ally Coordinator, particularly with the review of qualifications of new trade allies.

Professional Development

Stay informed about energy issues and industry trends through regular technical reading and participation in local and national professional organizations.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Sustainability, or similar studies.


Experience

3 5 years of experience in energy efficiency, sustainability, or related sectors.

Knowledge of building systems and energy efficiency technologies (e.g., HVAC, lighting, etc.).

Experience managing projects from inception through rebate/incentive payment.

Skills

Technical Writing: Strong aptitude for communicating technical and program concepts (written and oral) to clients, contractors, consumers, and organizations.

Soft Skills: Team-oriented, hands-on, adaptive, and client-focused.

Technical Support: Ability to support outreach and trade ally coordination.

Desired Accreditations (Preferred)

CEM (Certified Energy Manager) or CEA (Certified Energy Auditor) is a plus.

EIT (Engineer in Training) accreditation is a plus.
