Pipefitter | Lochwinnoch, United Kingdom | On-site | £38,662 + 33% shift allowance

The Role

  • Fabricating and installing pipework systems using various materials including copper, cuni, carbon steel, and stainless steel.
  • Operating hand tools and mechanical equipment for cutting, bending, welding, and assembling pipes.
  • Installing utilities such as sinks, showers, and toilets aboard vessels.
  • Assembling fittings, valves, and related components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Collaborating with other trades to ensure project timelines and accuracy.
  • Adhering to all safety regulations and company procedures.

What You'll Need

  • A relevant Modern Apprenticeship or Trade Papers (SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification).
  • Proven experience in pipe manufacture and installation on major projects.
  • Solid understanding of pipefitting methods, safe working practices, and trade-standard techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, pipework diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of SHE, COSHH, and risk assessment requirements and their practical application.
  • Previous experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar trade within an industrial or commercial environment.
