Infrastructure Engineer
Location: CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to support innovation efforts by evaluating new technologies. This role involves working on a series of projects with varied innovation needs in an isolated virtual lab environment. The ideal candidate is a technology generalist with broad technical knowledge who is passionate about learning and evaluating emerging technologies to determine their value for potential implementation.
Key Responsibilities

• Partner with project teams and managers to translate evaluation needs into lab requirements.
• Provide guidance on lab offerings, supported platforms, and technical constraints.
• Troubleshoot technical issues across operating systems, cloud services, and platform integrations.
• Administer and support Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, VMware, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform environments.
• Automate infrastructure tasks using PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Create and maintain knowledge articles, technical procedures, and operational documentation.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on platform enhancements, new offerings, and service improvements.

Required Qualifications
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud engineering, systems administration, lab engineering, or a related technical discipline. Experience serving as a technical advisor to engineering, architecture, and project teams.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android platforms. Broad knowledge of virtualization, compute, storage, networking, identity, and security technologies. Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, container-based technologies, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform is required.
Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting innovation labs, proof-of-concept programs, or pre-production testing platforms.
• Experience supporting AI/ML platforms, emerging technologies, or multi-cloud environments.
• Experience with enterprise networking, identity, proxy, secure connectivity, or infrastructure automation.
• Experience evaluating and integrating new technologies with vendors and project teams.
• Industry certifications related to cloud, infrastructure, virtualization, or security.
