Notes: Senior-level AWS Application Architect who can design cloud-native applications, lead legacy-to-AWS modernization efforts, and provide technical leadership across development teams. The ideal candidate should be capable of making application architecture decisions while collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders.

Position Overview:

Design and build scalable, secure, and cloud-native applications on AWS while helping modernize legacy systems into resilient microservices architectures. This role combines hands-on architecture, technical leadership, and close collaboration with engineering and business stakeholders to deliver high-performance distributed applications.

What You'll Do / Key Responsibilities:

Design scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available applications using AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, and DynamoDB.
Lead the modernization and migration of legacy on-premises applications into cloud-native, microservices-based architectures.
Align application designs with the AWS Well-Architected Framework, emphasizing security, reliability, and performance efficiency.
Provide technical leadership on design patterns, coding best practices, and effective use of AWS APIs and SDKs.
Optimize AWS resource utilization to improve cost efficiency while maintaining application performance.
Implement secure cloud solutions using IAM, encryption, and VPC network isolation.
Communicate architectural decisions and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required qualifications (drive recruiting):

Strong AWS application architecture and cloud-native design experience
Experience designing microservices and serverless applications
Hands-on expertise with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, IAM, and VPC
Cloud modernization and migration of legacy applications to AWS
Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and API-driven development
Proficiency in at least one language: Java, Python, C#, Node.js, or Go
Strong stakeholder communication and technical leadership skills

Preferred qualifications

AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
Experience with RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB data architecture
CI/CD experience using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline

Niche combination to prioritize: Candidates with both AWS cloud architecture and application modernization experience, particularly those who have led microservices/serverless transformations.
