Job Title:   Versa SD-WAN Platform Engineer
Location:   Ashburn, VA/ Onsite
Duration: 6 months
Rate: $ 48/hr on W2 & $ 52/hr on C2C

ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled Versa SD-WAN Platform Certification Engineer to support SD-WAN platform engineering and release certification activities.
The engineer will be responsible for building and managing certification labs, validating Versa software releases, performing platform and CPE certification testing,
and ensuring production readiness of new releases in a carrier-grade environment.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Versa SD-WAN, cloud technologies, routing and switching, and network troubleshooting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Build, deploy, and maintain Versa SD-WAN certification lab environments.
• Perform certification of Versa software releases, upgrades, patches, and hotfixes.
• Validate upgrade, rollback, high availability (HA), failover, resiliency, and disaster recovery scenarios.
• Execute platform, virtual CPE, and physical CPE certification testing.
• Verify interoperability across SD-WAN, cloud, routing, security, and transport domains.
• Troubleshoot platform, network, and infrastructure issues and drive root-cause analysis.
• Work closely with Versa TAC and Telco internal engineering teams to resolve defects.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, certification reports, and deployment recommendations.
• Support production readiness reviews and release signoff activities.

Networking & Infrastructure
• Strong understanding of routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VRF, Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, and WAN/Data Center architectures.
• Experience with WAN technologies, network security, IPSec VPNs, QoS, traffic engineering, and application-aware routing.
• Hands-on experience with Linux/Ubuntu and network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, TCPDump, and Postman.
