Corporate Controller – Mortgage / Financial Services
Irvine, CA | Full-Time | Exempt
Compensation:
$150,000 – $170,000 base + bonus
Our client, a well-established financial services organization, is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting function. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can own the close, strengthen controls, and deliver the financial insight that drives strategic decisions.

Lead the corporate accounting team and oversee timely, accurate monthly internal and external financial statements, annual audits, and budgets
Manage accounts receivable operations, including billings, cash receipts application, and aging
Own corporate income tax compliance, including state and local filings
Design and maintain systems and internal controls that protect data integrity and support scalable growth
Drive cash forecasting and cash management
Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors
Partner with the CFO on financial analysis, special projects, and ad hoc reporting
Supervise, develop, and manage the performance of accounting staff
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Mortgage industry experience (required)
Progressive accounting leadership experience, including ownership of the month-end close
Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial/regulatory reporting experience
Proven track record managing audit relationships
Active CPA (California)
Mergers and acquisitions experience
Competitive base salary of $150K–$170K plus bonus
