The Role

• Develop and optimize protein purification processes for enzymes and proteins (e.g., PCR enzymes, transcriptases, proteases).
• Utilize various cell lysis, chromatography, precipitation, and filtration methods, including high-throughput techniques.
• Evaluate enzyme quality through in-process analytics like activity assays, SDS-PAGE, and protein content analysis.
• Support the scaling and transfer of products into production and analytical workflows.
• Document all experimental work and contribute to troubleshooting projects.

What You'll Need

• Completed degree in a relevant field, such as Biology, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology.
• Proven experience with protein purification and chromatography in a regulated environment.
• Strong German language skills and at least basic English proficiency.
• Curiosity and a willingness to learn new methodologies.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex scientific concepts.
• Experience with activity testing is a plus.
