Lead Datastage Integration Support Engineer

Position: Lead DataStage Integration Support Engineer

Location: Culver City, CA (4 days onsite)

Duration: 6+ months

Key Responsibilities:

·       Own the end-to-end DataStage ETL platform (development, administration, and support).

·       Lead and mentor a team of DataStage support engineers.

·       Design, develop, and enhance ETL jobs and workflows.

·       Administer DataStage (user roles, security, deployments, and migrations).

·       Troubleshoot job failures across DataStage and Unix environments.

·       Manage incident management, RCA, and continuous improvement initiatives.

·       Develop and debug shell scripts and Python-based automation.

·       Manage Control-M (job monitoring, failure handling, scheduling, agent upgrades).

·       Configure SAP/Unix jobs, calendars, and workload policies.

·       Support Gentran (maps, mailboxes, FTP scripts, Java programs, SQL procedures).

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors for issue resolution.

Mandatory Skills:

·       8–10 years of experience in IBM DataStage (Development + Admin).

·       Strong expertise in Unix/Linux, shell scripting, and cron jobs.

·       Hands-on experience with Python programming.

·       Strong experience with Control-M administration and scheduling.

·       Solid knowledge of relational databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle).

·       Proven experience in production support, incident management, and RCA.

·       Experience leading teams and handling stakeholder communication.
