Software Engineer (5489) (Boulder, CO) (Secret) with Security Clearance

We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong C++ and Unreal Engine skills and an interest in people management to work on the FORGE MDPAP program as part of the Visualization subsystem team. Position is on-site in Boulder, CO 5 days per week. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Design, implement, and maintain high-quality software aligned with program and project objectives. * Work independently and collaboratively with the development team to deliver complex features end to end. * Contribute to containerized, distributed microservice architectures, including development, deployment, and testing. Required Skills & Experience * This position requires an active Interim DoD Secret Clearance. Clearance required: Active DoD Secret. Due to the clearance requirement, U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidate must also participate in a background screen. * 5+ years of professional hands-on experience as a Software Engineer using C++. * Proficient in Unreal Engine, including language features and best practices. * Professional experience working in Linux environments. * Ability to work onsite in Boulder, CO 5 days per week. * Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication and attention to detail skills. Desired Skills & Experience * Familiarity with other programming languages such as Python or Javascript/Typescript * Experience with or interest in people management (up to 5 direct reports). * Experience with Agile software development methodology and tools such as Jira and Confluence. * Familiarity with Gitlab, Gitlab Runner, Docker, Kubernetes and Helm Charts. * Domain experience with remote sensing systems or ground architectures, especially experience with OPIR sensor processing. * Experience working on "badge-less" engineering teams on a large National security contract.
