12-month contract South Australia Hybrid working

Your new company
Join a technology-driven organisation supporting essential services across Australia and New Zealand. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Support Engineer who enjoys investigating complex issues, working directly with customers and using emerging technologies to improve support outcomes.
Your new role
You will combine enterprise application support with Windows administration, hardware troubleshooting and practical customer service. The position includes a mix of remote and onsite support, including occasional work within correctional facilities.You will:

  • Manage technical support tickets from initial investigation through to resolution
  • Troubleshoot enterprise applications, Windows systems, services, configuration and connectivity
  • Install and support PCs, kiosks, peripherals and biometric devices
  • Use Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, application logs and audit records to investigate faults and data discrepancies
  • Support system upgrades and approved changes, including testing, validation and documentation
  • Work closely with customer ICT teams, suppliers, senior engineers and software developers
  • Identify configuration, process and automation improvements
  • Apply AI tools responsibly to improve troubleshooting and support processes

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will bring:
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications and Windows environments
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience across services, permissions, networks and integrations
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
  • The ability to investigate data, configuration, application and infrastructure issues methodically
  • Strong customer service and clear communication skills
  • The ability to explain technical information in practical, user-friendly language
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • An interest in AI and how it can improve technology support
  • A current Australian driver's licence and access to a vehicle
  • The ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearances
  • Flexibility to travel interstate, intrastate and potentially internationally
  • Availability to participate in an on-call roster, typically one week per month
Experience with Windows Server, IIS, Active Directory, service accounts, APIs, data synchronisation, ITIL or change management would be advantageous
