Job Title: Jr Analyst
Location: Atlanta, GA
Position Summary:
The Junior Production Support Analyst supports business-critical fixed income and capital markets applications. The analyst works with business users, technology teams, and third-party vendors to monitor application health, investigate incidents, communicate status, and help maintain reliable production services. This is an entry-level opportunity for a candidate interested in developing experience in production support, financial technology, application troubleshooting, and capital markets.
Key Responsibilities
· Monitor production applications, interfaces, scheduled processes, and system alerts.
· Triage incidents and service requests based on severity and business impact.
· Perform initial troubleshooting of application, data, batch-processing, and connectivity issues.
· Escalate issues to the appropriate internal team or application vendor and help coordinate resolution.
· Provide clear and timely status updates during incidents.
· Assist with incident and change management activities.
· Support the Fixed Income Sales and Trading teammates.
· Document troubleshooting steps, support procedures, known errors, and incident resolutions.
· Support implementation activities and perform post-change validation.
· Develop knowledge of fixed income products, trading workflows, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
· Foundational understanding of software applications, information systems, or production support concepts.
· Basic SQL knowledge, including SELECT statements, filters, and joins.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to analyze issues methodically and distinguish symptoms from underlying causes.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work calmly and effectively during time-sensitive situations.
· Willingness to learn financial products, production support processes, and enterprise technology tools.
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Business Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent education, training, or relevant experience.
· Zero to three years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
· Basic understanding of fixed income products, including government bonds, corporate bonds, municipal securities, and money market instruments.
· Familiarity with trade capture, confirmation, and settlement processes.
· Exposure to front-office trading environments or other time-sensitive business operations.
· Familiarity with financial technology platforms such as Bloomberg, Broadridge Impact, or Tradeweb.
· Awareness of regulatory reporting requirements such as TRACE and MSRB reporting.
· Exposure to incident, problem, change, or major incident management processes.
· Experience with ServiceNow or another IT service management platform.
· Basic understanding of DNS, ports, firewalls, IP addressing, and network connectivity.
· Familiarity with Python, PowerShell, or shell scripting.
· Previous exposure to a production support environment or vendor-supported application.
