Senior Informatica Developer
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Informatica Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise-scale data integration and ETL solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica IICS/IDMC, SQL, PL/SQL, and data warehousing.
The candidate will work closely with business analysts, data architects, database teams, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, high-performance data integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy complex ETL workflows, mappings, sessions, and transformations using Informatica PowerCenter.
- Develop and maintain cloud-based integrations using Informatica IICS/IDMC.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective ETL solutions.
- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and packages using Oracle, SQL Server, or similar databases.
- Perform ETL and SQL performance tuning to improve processing time and system reliability.
- Design and implement data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and loading processes.
- Work with data warehouse concepts including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, fact and dimension tables, and slowly changing dimensions (SCD).
- Integrate data from multiple sources including relational databases, flat files, APIs, legacy applications, and cloud platforms.
- Perform data reconciliation, validation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Troubleshoot ETL failures, data discrepancies, and production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Develop reusable ETL frameworks and follow development and coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, SIT/UAT support, and production deployments.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, QA teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers.
- Create and maintain technical specifications, data-flow documentation, and operational procedures.
- Support ETL modernization and migration initiatives from legacy platforms to cloud-based data integration solutions.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in Informatica development and ETL.
- Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
- Experience with Informatica IICS / IDMC.
- Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills.
- Strong experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server.
- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing and ETL concepts.
- Experience with Informatica mappings, workflows, sessions, transformations, parameters, and reusable components.
- Strong knowledge of ETL performance tuning and optimization.
- Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or Microsoft Fabric.
- Knowledge of Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) and/or Master Data Management (MDM).
- Experience migrating PowerCenter to IICS/IDMC.
- Knowledge of Python for automation and data-processing tasks.
- Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jira, or similar development tools.
- Experience with enterprise scheduling tools such as Control-M or Autosys.
- Experience working with large-scale data migration and data modernization projects.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Informatica certification is a plus.
