Job Description

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join their team. Senior NetworkEngineerrole in a challenging and diverse environmenttoassistwith the installation,configuration,and management of our network infrastructure. You will also providedirectsupport to internal team members and external clients via phone, email,chator in person.Candidates shouldbe self-motivated andhave excellent analytical,organizationaland communication skills. Must bea strongteam player able to collaborate with others.ACCNPor highercertificationispreferred. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design,Analyze,diagnose,and resolve customer issues withinthenetwork 
  • Provide Tier3technical support for network infrastructure 
  • Resolve incidents directly with end users and record detailed actions in ticketing tool 
  • Collaboratewith 3rdparty vendorsto ensure the network stays operational 
  • Escalate issues to next level of support if unable to resolvein atimelymanner 
  • Ensure all aspects of the entire enterprise cloud networks are architecturally sound andhighly available 
  • Research existing and emerging technologies that align with business requirements and provide effective solutions based upon extensive professional experience, industry best practices, knowledge of industry technologies through formal raining and/or self-study 
  • Install and implement network hardware components and cables in data centers and corporate offices 
  • Perform approved network changes according to procedures with minimal business disruption 
  • Understand and performnetwork maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs and patches 
  • Develop andmaintainaccuratenetwork support documentationin a knowledge repository 
  • Perform network performance monitoring, trending and capacity planning for theLAN,WLAN,MANandWAN 

Expectations:

  • This is a full-time, on-site position based in Irving, TX. 
  • Occasional after-hours support may be required. 
  • Passionate about customer support 
  • Attention to detail – good organizational and time management skills 
  • Ability towork nights or weekends,as needed, andparticipatein anon-callrotation 

Years of Experience:

  • 7+ years experience managing large scale enterprise networks 

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

  • *Highlight or Bold your Top 3 “Must-Haves” from this section 
  • 7+years’experience managing enterprise networks (Cisco, f5, Juniper)is preferred 
  • 2+ years working specifically in network design, planning, connectivity,migration,and support 
  • Knowledge and understanding of common network protocols (e.g., TCP, UDP, STP, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, etc.) 
  • Certifications are highly recommended–(i.e.,CCNP,CCIE,JNCIS, JNCIP,etc.) 

Education & Certification Requirements:

  • Universitydegree in Information Technology orrelated field preferred 

Preferred Industry Experience:

  • Retail, Fuel Operations, Supply Chain 

 

Salary/Rate: $60-$65/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
