IT Support Technician

Sierra, a division of XYZ Tech Inc. in Chicago, IL, seeks a Maintenance Associate to support IT facilities and hardware for cutting-edge software operations. You'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair workstations, servers, and peripherals, and ensure minimal downtime for internal teams. Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on workstations, servers, and peripherals to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, basic network, and connectivity issues in a timely manner.
• Support IT facilities operations, including racks, cabling, and environmental checks.
• Track and manage IT assets, spare parts, and inventory, ensuring accurate records.
• Log and manage work through ticketing tools, documenting issues, resolutions, and follow-ups.
• Coordinate with engineers and vendors for escalated repairs, installations, and upgrades.
• Follow safety, security, and compliance procedures within the data and equipment environment.
• Assist with deployments, moves, and equipment setups for new and existing employees.
