Job Description

Title: ACI MTS Engineer / ACI Payments Support Engineer

Location: Charlotte, NC, NJ, NYC, Dallas - TX (Onsite only)

Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Summary

Experienced ACI MTS Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance ACI Worldwide payment processing applications. Responsible for managing payment transaction systems, troubleshooting production issues, supporting payment networks, and ensuring high availability of critical payment infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support ACI MTS payment processing platforms.
  • Monitor payment transaction flows and resolve production incidents.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain ACI MTS applications and related components.
  • Perform root cause analysis for application and transaction failures.
  • Support payment processing for Wire, SWIFT transactions, and other payment channels.
  • Coordinate with business, infrastructure, network, and vendor teams during incidents and releases.
  • Manage system upgrades, patches, and environment refresh activities.
  • Ensure adherence to banking, security, and compliance standards.
  • Review logs, transaction files, queues, and interfaces to ensure seamless processing.
  • Participate in disaster recovery testing and business continuity activities.
  • Create and maintain operational documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide 24x7 production support as required.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with ACI MTS (Master Terminal System).
  • Knowledge of electronic payments and banking applications.
  • Experience with:
    • Linux/Unix
    • Oracle/SQL databases
    • Shell scripting
    • Application monitoring tools
    • File transfer protocols (SFTP, FTP)
  • Understanding of payment message formats:
    • ISO 8583
    • ISO 20022
    • SWIFT MT/MX
  • Experience with middleware and integration technologies.

Functional Skills

  • Payment processing operations.
  • Incident and problem management.
  • Change and release management.
  • Production support and troubleshooting.

Banking and financial services domain knowledge.
