Position on-site: in Williamsburg VA (same street as Busch Gardens). Hours of Operation: 7am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assemble critical power distribution equipment, including switchgear, Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Remote Power Panels (RPPs), and associated electrical assemblies, using engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Perform preparatory assembly activities, including cable stripping, wire preparation, label printing, and component staging.
  • Assemble and install switchgear frames, panel doors, copper bus assemblies, and other mechanical components.
  • Build electrical sub-assemblies, including wire harnesses, panel plates, and related electrical components.
  • Read and interpret schematic, mechanical, and general assembly drawings to ensure accurate product assembly.
  • Conduct assembly activities in accordance with established quality standards and company Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) procedures.
  • Support final product preparation, packaging, and wrapping for shipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work area, including proper storage and disposal of waste materials.
  • Safely lift, carry, and move materials and components up to 50 lbs. as required.
  • Perform work that requires standing, walking, and manual dexterity throughout the shift.
  • Provide support to other production departments as needed to meet business and customer requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, assembly, production, or technical environment.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow work instructions, blueprints, and assembly drawings.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical manufacturing tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience assembling electrical equipment, switchgear, PDUs, RPPs, or related products.
  • Experience reading electrical schematics.
