Job Description

We are seeking a *CAD Sr. Coordinator/Project Manager* to become a key member of our team. In this role you will use strong communication and project management skills to drive schedules and resolve issues across multiple projects and teams. You will use your technical skills to provide and adjust shop drawings and communicate to other teams to make sure innovative parts and projects will be done accurately and on time.

You will work closely with CAD, engineering, machinists and finishing teams to craft a project plan, identify/resolve blockers, and align CAD team work across multiple parallel projects. The quality work we produce has built a reputation of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction within various large companies in the automotive and aerospace industry for the last 20+ years, and this role is critical to ensure continued growth and efficiency. Description

  • Run and track project schedules by driving and monitoring execution within a core project working team.
  • Drive achievements by focusing the CAD team on meeting near-term milestones, while planning with other team members to gear up for mid-term projects.
  • Unblock technical issues by pulling together the relevant mechanical teams together.
  • Participate in early planning of new projects as well as resourcing and scheduling.
  • Drive development of and ownership for tracking new project schedules and resource metrics, including time tracking.
  • Drive weekly schedule and communication meetings with upper management, including dashboards/reports for visual aids to respond to clients.
  • Ensure effective project schedule and dependency communication with various teams, be open to additional hands-on work as needed to maximize team efficiency and throughput.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a workshop environment
  • Proficiency in Rhino or Solidworks preferred
  • Can-do attitude; ability to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to get things done
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with enthusiasm and ability to work with different levels and personalities
  • Must be punctual, ability to balance work on the computer/timelines and working with team on the shop floor
  • Bachelor’s of Science degree, or AA+equivalent experience
Important:
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and be able to commute daily to Ventura County.
  • Must be able to work during core business hours, Monday - Friday (eg, 8:00am - 4:30pm), with regularly scheduled overtime based on client deadlines.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00 - $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.
