Job Description

HR Business Partner £50,000-£65,000 Cambridgeshire

Are you an HR professional who wants to do more than just manage the day-to-day?

I'm working with a growing food manufacturing business that's looking for an HR Business Partner to help shape the future of its people function.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys rolling their sleeves up, challenging the status quo and making a genuine difference to how a business operates.

The company is going through an exciting period of growth and investment, and they're looking for someone who can help take HR from a largely reactive function to a proactive, commercially focused partner to the business.

What will you be doing?

  • Partnering with the senior leadership team to influence people strategy and business decisions.
  • Developing workforce plans to support continued growth.
  • Coaching and supporting managers through employee relations challenges.
  • Leading and developing a small HR team.
  • Improving HR processes, systems and reporting.
  • Taking a proactive approach to absence management, recruitment and employee engagement.
  • Helping build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Who are we looking for?

Ideally, you'll have experience in a manufacturing, engineering, logistics or similarly operational environment.

You'll be comfortable dealing with the realities of a busy workforce, but equally confident sitting around the leadership table, challenging decisions and offering practical, commercially minded advice.

You don't necessarily need to be an HR Business Partner already. An experienced HR Manager looking for greater strategic involvement could be equally interesting.

Above all, we're looking for someone with the confidence, personality and drive to make things happen.
