Job Description
The Human Resources Assistant provides day-to-day administrative support to the HR department, ensuring smooth operational execution across onboarding, employee records, compliance tracking, and benefits administration. This role serves as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding basic policies, timekeeping, and documentation.
POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Onboarding & Offboarding

Coordinate new hire logistics, including sending welcome letters, collecting pre-employment documents, and setting up orientation schedules.
Conduct new employee orientation and ensure timely completion of Form I-9 verification and tax forms.
Prepare offboarding packages and coordinate exit logistics.

HRIS & Records Maintenance

Maintain and update employee records, status changes, and personnel files in the HRIS (e.g., ADP) to ensure 100% data integrity.
Audit electronic employee files regularly for compliance with company policies and legal retention requirements.

Compliance & Administrative Support

Assist with tracking required certifications, safety documentation, and mandatory training completion.
Prepare routine HR reports, organizational charts, and internal communications or translated memos as needed.
Track employee timecards, leave requests, and attendance adjustments prior to payroll submission.

Employee Relations & Benefits Assistance

Respond to general employee questions regarding company benefits, leave policies, and HR procedures with professionalism and confidentiality.
Assist with planning employee recognition initiatives, wellness events, and internal company programs
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred. 1–3 years of administrative experience, preferably within an HR setting.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, SharePoint).

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) a plus.

Core Competencies: High level of discretion and integrity handling confidential information, strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a service-oriented attitude. The anticipated rate for this position is
$24.00 to $26.00 per hour
