Responsibilities
• Lead requirements discovery and elicitation through stakeholder interviews, workshops, process walkthroughs, and analysis sessions to understand business objectives, challenges, dependencies, constraints, and desired outcomes.
• Analyze and document current state and future state business processes, identify functional and process gaps, and recommend opportunities for simplification, automation, and operational improvement.
• Translate complex business needs into clear, comprehensive, and testable business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Develop high quality project artifacts, including BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, process flows, data mappings, and Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs).
• Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, resolving requirement ambiguities, facilitating decisions, managing competing priorities, and driving stakeholder alignment.
• Partner closely with architects, developers, QA engineers, Product Owners, and Project Managers throughout the SDLC to ensure business requirements are accurately reflected in solution designs and delivered functionality.
• Support both Agile and Waterfall delivery models, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, requirements walkthroughs, dependency analysis, change management, and ongoing requirements clarification.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by developing business scenarios and acceptance criteria, maintaining requirements traceability, analyzing defects, coordinating business validation, and supporting production readiness activities.
• Analyze application interfaces, integrations, data flows, and downstream dependencies to identify potential impacts and ensure end to end solution integrity.
• Ensure solutions appropriately consider banking operations, regulatory compliance, security, audit, risk, data, and operational controls.
• Proactively identify requirements gaps, delivery risks, dependencies, and potential downstream impacts, working with stakeholders to drive issues to resolution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to strengthen business analysis practices, documentation standards, and delivery processes.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of Business Analysis or Business Systems Analysis experience, including at least 3 years within banking, financial services, payments, lending, credit unions, or fintech.
• Demonstrated expertise in requirements elicitation and analysis, including stakeholder interviews, discovery workshops, process analysis, gap analysis, and translating complex business needs into actionable requirements.
• Strong experience developing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, process flows, data mappings, and requirements traceability documentation.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience working within Agile/Scrum and Waterfall delivery environments.
• Experience supporting delivery activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, solution design, testing, UAT, implementation, and change management.
• Working knowledge of APIs, web services, system integrations, interfaces, data flows, databases, and data mapping, with the ability to collaborate effectively with architects and development teams.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, processes, and controls.
• Experience working with delivery and documentation tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, or comparable platforms.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, facilitation, problem solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, challenge assumptions constructively, identify gaps, facilitate decisions, and drive requirements through closure.
• Ability to work effectively across business and technology teams while managing multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with one or more banking domains such as digital banking, deposits, lending, payments, treasury management, commercial banking, or core banking platforms.
• Experience supporting banking modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to cloud based applications and cloud transformation programs.
• Experience working with complex enterprise integrations and data intensive applications.
• Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, audit, security, and risk considerations within financial services.
• Consulting experience working directly with client stakeholders and cross functional delivery teams.
