Job Description

Job#: 3055293
Job Description:
The Senior IT Business Analyst serves as a lead analyst for complex digital banking initiatives within the Key Business Banking Online (KBBO) organization. This role influences cross-functional web and mobile product teams by translating business strategy, client needs, regulatory obligations, and technical constraints into clear, actionable delivery requirements.

The Senior IT Business Analyst partners with Product Owners, Design, Architecture, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations, Risk, Infrastructure and Security, and third-party vendors to deliver secure, reliable, and intuitive capabilities for business banking clients. The role requires strong product-delivery leadership, financial-services domain knowledge, and technical analysis skills across application, integrations, data flows, entitlements, authentication, payments, and customer-facing digital experiences.

Essential Functions
Lead business analysis for highly complex initiatives spanning multiple applications, delivery teams, vendors, stakeholders, and business processes. Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to translate strategic priorities and customer needs into epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and non-functional requirements. Lead backlog refinement and story creation; ensure requirements are clear, testable, traceable, appropriately sized, prioritized, and ready for delivery.

Use industry trends, client feedback, operational data, and product metrics to influence requirements, roadmap decisions, and continuous improvement opportunities. Significantly contribute to solution design, customer journey design, and architecture discussions to ensure solutions meet business requirements and provide an optimized web and mobile user experience. Analyze applications, service interfaces, system interactions, data mappings, business rules, error handling, workflow dependencies, and upstream/downstream impacts.

Translate business requirements into technical requirements while considering multiple user types (such as business clients, combined client, admins, sub-users), entitlement models, risk scenarios, operational impacts, and integration constraints. Apply Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, Scrum, and iterative delivery practices to the planning and execution of deliverables. Partner with Quality Assurance Services (QAS) to define test strategy, support test scenario development, validate requirement coverage, and participate in user acceptance testing and release-readiness decisions.

Ensure functional and non-functional requirements address applicable information security, privacy, audit, regulatory, fraud, resiliency, accessibility, and risk-management standards. Partner effectively with security, risk, compliance, architecture teams to ensure technology portfolio changes adhere to enterprise standards. Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal platform teams to clarify requirements, manage dependencies, resolve delivery issues, and validate integrated solutions.

Support production incident investigation, defect triage, root-cause analysis, and remediation by evaluating requirements, business processes, data, integrations, and system behavior.

Communicate complex business and technical topics clearly to delivery teams, business partners, vendors, and leadership; surface decisions, assumptions, dependencies, issues, and risks early. Mentor less-experienced analysts and promote consistent standards for requirements quality, process modeling, and business analysis practices.
