Role Summary
This position involves providing comprehensive technical support for hardware and software systems in a fast-paced environment. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of Windows 10 systems, desktop applications, and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network communication, equipment installation, and client support, with the ability to work effectively in a technical environment within West Texas.
Responsibilities
- Perform hardware and software troubleshooting, installation, and upgrades on Windows 10 systems.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Office applications and other desktop software.
- Provide network support, including LAN/WAN configuration, cable installation (Cat5, Cat6, Fiber), and network troubleshooting.
- Rack and stack equipment in technical environments to ensure operational readiness.
- Maintain and support communication technologies such as Cisco, Aruba, and Ubiquiti radio systems.
- Support mobile device enrollment, application deployment, and updates on iOS platforms.
- Manage Active Directory user and computer objects and implement Group Policy basics.
- Document technical processes, incidents, and solutions accurately in service management systems.
- Use rental vehicles for daily travel within West Texas, including overnight stays, as required.
- Communicate clearly with clients and team members regarding technical issues and resolutions.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in field technical support, network installation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Windows 10, Microsoft Office, and troubleshooting software issues.
- Demonstrated hardware installation and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Experience with LAN/WAN technologies, cable installation, and network communications.
- Knowledge of Cisco, Aruba, and Ubiquiti radio technologies is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SCCM/Intune, Citrix, and Active Directory concepts is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate rental vehicles.
- Willingness to travel daily within West Texas, with flexibility for overnight stays.
- Ability to work on-site in Midland, TX.
Publishing Pay Range: $30.00 - $35.00 hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
