Job Description

Job Title: IT Support Analyst

Industry: Medical Devices / Healthcare

Location: San Diego, CA (Onsite 4–5 days per week)

Duration: 6 months; Very likely for 6 months additional – W2 Contract

Schedule: M-F from 7:00a to 4:30p Pacific

IV Process: 1 and done. 45 min w/HM

 

Position Overview

This is a focused, lower-skill IT support role supporting the San Diego office. The primary responsibility will be managing the shipment and receipt of IT equipment, with additional walk-up and general ticket support as needed.

 

HM's Guidance:

  • Need hands-on Windows and Mac experience, customer-facing support skills, and are comfortable with equipment handling/shipping and repetitive operational

Important Role Expectations:

  • This is not a phone-queue position.
  • No on-call responsibilities are expected.
  • The role is 100% onsite in San Diego, with an expectation of approximately 4–5 days per week in the office.
  • The position is primarily operational and equipment-focused rather than a traditional high-volume help desk role.

Team Overview:

  • Will work with two team members in the San Diego office.
  • Will be part of the broader Americas IT Support organization.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ship IT equipment received from locations across the country to support the organization's companies.
  • Receive and process IT equipment returned by separated employees.
  • Provide walk-up and general ticket assistance to employees as needed.
  • Support day-to-day onsite IT operations in the San Diego office.
  • Perform repetitive shipping and equipment-related tasks accurately and consistently.
  • Contribute to other IT activities as needed.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Strong Windows and MacBook experience is the primary technical focus.
  • Customer support experience is important.
  • Comfortable handling and shipping IT equipment.
  • Willingness to perform repetitive operational tasks as part of the role.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication and customer-service approach.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Directory experience – helpful, but not a major requirement.
  • Office 365 exposure.
  • Okta or multi-factor authentication experience.
