Business Development Representative

About the Role

Join an early sales team at an AI-powered CPG software company. You will represent food and beverage brands, connecting their products with suitable retailers and managing relationships from initial outreach through repeat orders.

What You'll Do

• Understand each brand's goals and build target retailer lists, such as independent grocers, cafes, and coffee shops.

• Use an AI prospecting platform to identify and prioritize promising retailers.

• Contact retailer buyers and owners by phone and email, coordinate product samples, and follow up through purchase orders.

• Support accounts after the first sale by checking in on samples, encouraging reorders, and sharing outreach feedback with brands.

• Provide regular feedback to engineers to help improve the prospecting platform.

What We're Looking For

• Zero to three years of sales development or account executive experience, preferably with CPG brands or brokers.

• A bachelor's degree and experience with cold outbound prospecting.

• Comfort handling rejection and responding effectively to objections.

• Interest in trying AI tools and adopting new technology.

• CPG, brokerage, or other relevant experience outside restaurant work is valued.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $60,000 to $70,000 annually. The role offers uncapped commission on recurring orders. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

On-site, five days per week in Austin, Texas.
