Job description

At Ramsay Clinic Macarthur, we are passionate about connecting people with the Mental Health care they need, when they need it most.

Ramsay Clinic Macarthur is a 42-bed hospital and leading private mental health facility in the heart of Campbelltown, providing inpatient and outpatient services to the people of Southwest Sydney and surrounding regions. We work closely with psychiatrists, GPs, psychologists, allied health professionals and community partners to deliver patient-centred mental health care. The Hospital is owned and operated by Ramsay Health Care, a global operator of private hospitals and primary care clinics with over 70 Australian sites employing over 34,000 people. We have been focused on delivering high-quality patient care and practising the Ramsay Way philosophy of ‘People Caring for People’ since 1964.

We are hiring for a GP Liaison Offer at our Ramsay Clinic - Macarthur on a part-time basis! With the upcoming launch of our integrated Mental Health Hub, this is an exciting time to join our organisation and contribute to expanding access to coordinated Mental Health services across the region.

This is 12-month contract (with potential to extend). The role may particularly appeal to a parent returning to the workforce or someone seeking a flexible part-time opportunity that provides autonomy, variety, and purpose.

About The Role

Ramsay Health Care is seeking an experienced and relationship-focused GP Liaison Officer (GPLO). This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening connections and relationships with GPs, specialists, allied health professionals and VMOs, while supporting referral growth, patient flow and awareness of Ramsay’s services across the catchment. You will combine strong relationship management, business development and commercial capability to identify opportunities, remove referral barriers and support sustainable growth.

You will build strong relationships across the local healthcare community and use market and referral insights to develop targeted engagement strategies that support hospital growth and better patient outcomes.

You will spend much of your time visiting medical practices, understanding local healthcare needs, promoting our services, and helping referrers navigate mental health treatment pathways for their patients.

This is far more than a sales role. It is an opportunity to improve access to mental health services and help patients receive the care they need sooner. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, building trusted professional relationships, and making a genuine difference in their community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with GPs, practice managers, specialists, allied health professionals and VMOs across the Macarthur and Wollondilly regions.
  • Conduct regular face-to-face GP practice visits and identify opportunities to strengthen referral pathways and generate growth.
  • Promote Ramsay Clinic Macarthur's inpatient, outpatient and specialist mental health services.
  • Develop and deliver GP education programs, networking opportunities and CPD-accredited events.
  • Partner with VMOs and clinical leaders to promote specialist expertise, services and new clinical capabilities.
  • Support the onboarding and engagement of new VMOs, including profiles and GP-facing communications.
  • Develop newsletters, referral resources and other communications to keep the GP community informed.
  • Analyse referral trends, market data and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities and referral gaps.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular reporting and insights to hospital leadership.
  • Work closely with Business Development, Hospital Executives and clinical teams to support broader growth strategies.
  • Represent Ramsay professionally across the Macarthur and Wollondilly healthcare communities and build a strong local network.

About You

You will be a confident and engaging relationship builder with a strong commercial mindset and genuine passion for healthcare. Comfortable working autonomously, engaging senior stakeholders and turning market insights into practical opportunities.

You will bring:

  • 2–3+ years’ experience in business development, sales, healthcare liaison, account management or a related role.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience organising and managing events, education programs or stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an ability to identify and pursue growth opportunities.
  • Ability to analyse data and translate insights into practical strategies and actions.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, databases and Microsoft Office.
  • A current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the catchment.

At Ramsay, we care for our people by offering benefits that truly support your career, wellbeing and lifestyle, including:
