Systems/Network Administrator with Security Clearance

Active Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph is required. Visionist has an exciting new, fully FUNDED opportunity for a Systems/Network Administrator on our PRIME contract. You will join a team of 20+ who work together to provide full-lifecycle support to a software application that provides multi-media ingest, storage, query, playback, analysis, and transcription capabilities. This program performs development, pre-production staging, and production maintenance and support activities.

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime
• Manage physical hardware, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting for development network environments
• Perform hands-on hardware troubleshooting, including component replacement, equipment installation, cable management, and system validation
• Configure and verify server connectivity to ensure systems are reachable and properly integrated into the network environment
• Develop and implement automation scripts using Ansible to streamline processes and improve efficiency
• Configure, manage, and support virtualization platforms such as VMWare, Xen, or Nutanix
• Diagnose and resolve network-related issues, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance
• Work with the ISSO/ISSE team to configure devices to meet STE/STN compliance requirements
• Administer patches to maintain STE/STN compliance requirements
• Assist with Windows patching when necessary to maintain a secure and compliant infrastructure

Requirements for your new career…

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
• 5 years of experience in systems/network administration 
• Strong Linux System Administration experience
• Hands-on hardware experience to include rack configuration, cabling, hardware troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMWare, Xen, Nutanix)
• Network troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of STE/STN and vulnerability patching

Physical Requirements

• This position requires the ability to lift, move, and transport equipment weighing up 50 pounds as part of routine system maintenance, server installations, and hardware troubleshooting activities
